Simulation of Catalhoyuk: Situated Learning in a Neolithic Community

Doing some general research for a joint project with a paleontologist, I travelled through Second Life looking at sims of archeological digs.

Before entering the village of Catalhoyuk...

This is one of my favorites, done at Berkeley.  When you arrive, they provide simulation-appropriate clothing.  There are sounds of sheep blatting, and fire crackling as you walk through the village.  We are considering creating a virtual dig for Bay Path College; while I was there, I met someone from the U.K. who is considering doing the same thing….
